UPDATE: since this piece was written, Modere, and all of its patents, have been acquired and Liquid Biocell is once again available for purchase.

Before reading further, please see the above text. Many of you know that I was (and still am) obsessed with the Liquid BioCell collagen for 3 years.
A few weeks ago, the company that carried Liquid Biocell, called Modere, abruptly shut its doors without warning. I was in shock and honestly disbelief. My immediate response was how am I going to get access to the product that changed my life the most?
While this piece is not about Modere, it is about what to do next in terms of collagen supplementation. Nothing has changed about needing a quality collagen supplement if you’re over your mid-20s.
BioCell is the #1 patented collagen supplement on the market that is a super nutraceutical and bioidentical to the human body. Coming from a single source, hydrolyzed chicken sternal cartilage with a hyaluronic acid matrix and chondrointon sulfate to pull out inflammation, the absorption rate is astronomical.
If you’ve been using Liquid BioCell, I know the news of their closure left you wondering: What now?
Modere was the only company licensed to deliver the Type II Collagen + Hyaluronic Acid + Chondroitin Sulfate matrix in a liquid form (most bioavailable).
But here’s the good news:
While Modere had the exclusive on the liquid version, the actual BioCell Collagen® technology is still available in capsule and tablet form from other reputable brands that are licensed to use it.
That being said.. after some research and processing – I’m trying these products that have the license to incorporate BioCell tech into specific supplements. I’m not sure how this is going to go, given the liquid delivery system is the most bioavailable, but I am hopeful and will report back.
Here are four alternatives I am personally trying after extensive research: each of which contains the same clinically studied matrix that made Liquid BioCell so effective:

1. Source Naturals
Offers BioCell Collagen in capsule form
Trusted brand with a clean ingredient deck
Use my code MEG at checkout for a discount
2. Reserveage Nutrition
Combines BioCell with additional skin-supportive ingredients
Great for those focused on anti-aging
3. Pure Encapsulations
Hypoallergenic, medical-grade supplement brand
Perfect for those with sensitivities or looking for practitioner-trusted purity
4. Health Logics
A budget-friendly, straightforward capsule option with BioCell Collagen
Easy to add to any routine
I know change can be overwhelming, but the quality of the BioCell Collagen matrix hasn’t gone anywhere.
Yes, there is talk of the liquid delivery system going to another company in which the original patent owner is involved. There is also talk of another biochemist creating a clinical collagen supplement as we speak. Given none of those are available at this time to try, this is what I’m doing.
If you choose to try these options with me, I welcome your feedback!
And lastly, I would have promoted the shit out of this product even if I wasn’t able to offer people a discount and saw $0 from it. Thank you.

My 73yo mom has thrived in modere’s liquid biocell. Shes raved about it for 4-5 years. But until these last few weeks when she’s gone without it I didn’t realize what a difference it actually makes. The arthritis in her hands is crippling without Liquid Biocell! I’m very thankful for your research. I’ll look into this as well. However, in the meantime by accident I discovered that Shaklee is carrying Modere’s liquid biocell. (It’s literally still labeled with “Modere.”) So, mom is back to her usual dosage. But, that stuff is EXPENSIVE, and I’m looking forward to trying your dupe.
